Default Porsche admits that 997 has same 0-60 as the 996!

It's in the latest issue of Christophorus - http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessorie...e/latestissue/ - click "The 911 Generations" and you'll see that they're both listed as 5.2 seconds for 0-100 km/h...

Damn, that's depressing - my M3 is faster.

I hate to admit the truth that my Porsche is slower than my fat M3.

BMW lies about their times (or so they say on Top Gear).

I mentioned the article because the 996 seems to be the Rodney Dangerfield of Porsche 911s. If you look in this month's Excellence magazine, there's this great photospread on the launch of the 991 at Porsche headquarters - and they have a line of 3 "modern" 911s - a 991, then a 997, then a 993? What the heck? And this is Porsche (the manufacturer) that did the display?

So yes, I was happy to see that the "official" Porsche magazine recognized that the 996 has the same ***** as the 997. You guys might say that you don't care, but for performance vehicles, the 0-60 time is the equivalent of cup size... ;-)

Don't tell me that you're still under the impression that the 996 is a REAL Porsche.

WOW, are you naive!!!
