Very nice! Back on topic.. I put 500 miles on the car this past Saturday and kept up with all the "faster cars" in my old POS.

I knew this the day they posted up the 0-60 times for the 997. They went from stating a 0-100 km (0-62) time to using the 0-60 time so that it would market it looking like it was faster, when it simply wasn't. The S is slightly faster but not really any faster then a 996 with x51.

When they introduced the 997.1 they changed from metric to imperial. While the 996 C4S and Turbo models that were still available were using metric. I just know since I live in a part of the world that does use metric.

Phew - that's 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Gotta chime in now that I'm invested.
1) Drove a 997.1 normal back to back against my 996.2 at the start of this year. Felt like the same car except the console in the 997 hurt my knee. Console delete in my 996 makes it a better car.
2) I think the raging medicated noob guy took offense because his 997 was called out being too slow but he won't admit it. It's a pretty car though...you got that going for you.
3) Drove an E46 M3 a few moths ago. I really liked it even though the SMG was f*&^%ing horrible. I'll bet the E90 is fantastic. Straight up manual?
4) Can't say I like the headlight covers on you 996 WellHard...but I love the Carrara white.

Errr - you missed my point. For one thing, any Porsche sold in Canada has to have metric primary speedometer and odometer - it is mandatory. If you have seen a 997 that has an imperial cluster, it is a US import. Secondly, Porsche is produced in a country that has been metric for longer than Canada - Germany went metric something like 100 years before us (just looked it up - DE went metric in 1872!)

As for the headlight covers - The previous owner installed them. I doubt I would have put them on myself, but I don't dislike them either, so there's no reason for me to pull them off.
