Default Got the 3.6 muffs but needs some tips.....

Hello Fellas,

Today I received a set of 3.6 mufflers in the mail and I soon figured out that the C4S tips that were included do not fit on my C2. The exhaust pipe that is attached to the chrome tip is too long. Does anyone have a set of exhaust tips or maybe just the exhaust pipe that connects to the tip from the muffler (only if it will fit the C4S tear drops). I will trade the C4S tips for C2 sport tips or duals as well. Thanks again.

Ryan

Can't you use the tips from your 3.4 mufflers? Or are you going for a different look?

yea Ryan...your stock tips "should" transfer over... and the C4S tips are worth goot money, you can sell and offset the cost of the cans....

I dont have the stocker tips from the 3.4's. I sold them with my old fabspeed exhaust.. I wonder if a muffler shop could fab up a pipe so I can fit the C4S tips on... I really like the look of them.

I just went to a muffler shop and they did not want to attempt to fab up a pipe for the C4S tips.. plus they could not flare the tubing to mate with the muffler correctly. I may just run it without tips until some surface and just get the PSE Hack done in the mean time... if I can find someone that has mandrel bent piping..

Does anyone think this pipe will work if cut in half?

I bought a 2.25" "J-bend" tube from JGES for $24 plus shipping and had it shipped to my shop. For some reason, the J-bend was cheaper than the U-bend. Since I was cutting it anyway, it didn't matter. One J bend is enough for 2 mufflers.

Read all about it in post #520 and post #579 of this monster thread.

The u-bend in that link is aluminized steel. You want stainless steel.

Hey Ryan, let me know if you are interested in our Dual style tips for your car and I will make you a nice member deal on them. The black chrome would really look great on your black car and give it a more aggressive stance. PM me if you are interested or have any questions.
Thanks,

??The C4 tips have a longer pipe.?? Find a shop that will cut the pipe mount the flared end and trim what is not needed then weld the shortened pipe with the tip back onto it.

I wish I had confidence in the shops around here. Most places either do a hack job or break stuff along the way. I like to keep it simple for them. I'm the guy that looks over your shoulder since is my porsche they are using blow torches and grinders around. They are used to working on chevys and fords. I've had numerous bad experiences in the past.

Plus why would I want to ruin a perfect set of c4s pipes?
