Default Wind Deflector with Top Up ?

Question. Now that the weather is getting nice in the Northeast I can finally get my new purchase out of the garage.

If I install the Wind Deflector, can it stay installed with the top up ? or must I always take it in and out ?

You can leave it in. The top goes up without any issue, and you can simply reach back and fold the vertical portion down. Simple.
Of course, you need to fold the back seats down to install it.

The wind deflector can be left in and placed in one of two positions.....horizontal (flat) or vertical (wind deflecting. Before we had kids and the need for car seats we left ours in the vertical (wind deflecting) position 24/7 since it also acts as a privacy screen and sun glare reducer.

Privacy screen? What were you doing in there before you had kids?

I kept mine up to facilitate the transportation of prisoners before I removed it entirely. It's functional -- but man is it f-ugly. I'd rather have messy hair and ear infections.

I concur - U G L Y.
I only put it up if I know I am going to do a lot of highway driving with the top down.
Other then that in is in the frunk.

Mine has stayed in. I leave it flipped down when driving around town and flip it up on the highway. I agree that it is fugly.
