996 Short Shift
Just as I was getting serious about short shift mods, having decided to use the"undercar" type such as B&M it seems they have become scarce. About a year ago Ebay had many, including knock-offs, now there are only a few and Zero undercar? Any suggestions? jvm

IMHO the best short shifter mod is the Porsche OEM 997 SSK. Spend the extra money. It is a bolt-in and it is a great mod... Suncoast sells it for $429.95 and I have found nothing better...

How did you find the shift action compared to stock? For me the 997 ssk was unbearably difficult to shift. Quick shifts were impossible due to the force required, so my shift time actually increased.

I find the 997 SSK to be 100% better than stock and I do not notice any difficulty or "unbearable" force in shifting. I really like it..

I agree, any short shifter will have this "issue" of needing more force to get the gears in.
It has nothing to do with the shifter itself, just due to the shorter throw.
When the car is cool it's harder and when it's warm it's just fine.
