Default Day two of ownership and I already need help

Ok so the CEL came on today and I put my scanner on it. I get three codes

P1108
P0491
P0492

Also I noticed one of the cats is rattling. Would the cat have anything to do with these codes? And where should I start? Keep in mind this is a supercharged car and I have no clue how to get to anything on the top of the engine.

Thanks for any help I have 30 days to fix it before I have to take it to emissions to get it registered.

You owe me a lot of bucks now having to search the internet.
I don't even know if the info is correct

P0491 Secondary air injection system, bank 1 “ malfunction Wiring, AIR solenoid, hose connections, mechanical fault
P0492 Secondary air injection system, bank 2 “ malfunction Wiring, AIR solenoid, hose connections, mechanical fault

Maybe some high G here there and everywhere flying it got something not used to real driving to loosen up. I'd just check the hoses first.

Thanks I read all the threads I could find on it just not sure if they are related to the loose rattling cat. The car hasn't been driven for almost two years so it's bound to have a few issues. I will check this stuff tonight when I get home.

My cats died (got CEL + cat code) within a few weeks after they started to rattle. OEM cats from suncoast are insanely expensive, was thinking of going aftermarket but found a set removed from a car when almost new that was being converted to a race car. Used cats come up for sale once in a while.. check the FS section

With only 47K on it the cats might be covered under pollution warranty. 10? years 80k mi. Also Check your secondary air injection pump. It lives by your left knee when you are standing behind the car looking at the engine. It comes on for about 15 to .. seconds at cold start to help light off the cats.

it is 8 years:
"Specified major emission control components
are covered for the first 8 years or 80,000 miles."

If any of the codes are from the cat take it to a dealer and try for good will coverage on the cats it is only ~two months over.

I just realized isn't this is the one with a supercharger, dealer would probably get a good chuckle.

A bad MAF can kick some of the cat-related codes. I would check that before springing for a set.

Check to make sure your air pump is working on cold starts. Check the electric change over valve and the vacuum hose leading to it. Check all hoses from the air pump as well.

I can hear the air pump when the car starts. When I get home I'm going to dig into it deeper. I have a feeling its a broken vacuum line.

So to get to all of these things I need to check is it under the car or on top of the motor? I know on my Boxster S I can get to the top of the motor easily but how do you do it on the 996?

On top of the motor behind the alternator. It is hard to get to...I had a problem years ago and I thing it ended up being the vacuum line leading to the electric changeover valve. If it all checks out then check the air changeover valve.
