I've had these codes.... Replaced the cats, codes never came back. I would go with 200 cell racing cats since you car is SC... The high heat will kill oem cats in no time. But if it is under warranty... Then go for and then sell it.

That is a pretty expensive suggestion. I would troubleshoot myself and then have a good shop troubleshoot before replacing cats.

No doubt it's expensive.... But most likely it is not vac related or any of the above mentioned.... Just cutting to the chase... My car is SC and has been through this before like many SC owners. Though I have seen dealers replace cats under warranty even if it is SC modded....

But I've been wrong before...

I'm going to replace the cats regardless since the rattling they make is enough to drive a person nuts. I was thinking of going with the bypass pipes. Anyone here have luck with them and not getting a CEL when used with the 02 adapters?

Ferd,
I remember that time you were wrong, it was when you thought you were but weren't.

Not being driven for nearly two years can cause all sorts of problems. I came across a Porsche (993 Turbo S) the other day that had not been driven for a bit longer than that and the tech told me he had to replace the fuel pump (it had seized), new fuel lines, and injectors, among other things.

Plus a car that sits unused that long can attract the rodents and they love to gnaw on things plastic and rubber.

I'd give the car a thorough inspection looking for any rodent sign. If you find any then you have to suspect the engine hoses, wiring harness have been chewed on. In some cases the engine has to come of the car to access/replace all the damaged hoses/wiring harness.

Sincerely,

Macster.

I shouldn't have said not driven but driven very little. About 1000 miles in the last two years. It was in a garage as well. I'm not too worried about it I know its something simple just getting to it will be my main problem.

Ok guys upon further inspection I found a broken Vacuum line that goes to what I believe is the electronic change over valve. Unfortunately it broke the nipple of the valve and it's behind the supercharger and I have no clue how to remove the supercharger. Im going to plug the vacuum line going to the intake for now so I'm not running lean.

If anyone has a write up on the supercharger removal that would be great!

Fly 996 are you saying you have no CEL with the bypass or with the 200 cats?

I had a bunch of O2 sensor codes and it was really the MAF.
Do you have the KN Oiled air filter?

Yes it has a oiled K&N I'm going to pull the MAF and clean it but I found yet another broken vacuum line going to the boost bypass valve so I fixed that one easily. The car idles a million times better now with the vacuum leaks plugged. Now I just need to order the electric changeover valve and I think it will be all back to normal sans the rattling cat.

Way to go, sounds like you have solved most of your issues.
