For several oil changes now I've been using Castrol Syntec 5w-50.
And I change this every 5K miles.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Mobil 1 and Castrol are fine and may be available in your market.

Okay,
Serious question. Assuming you are using a big-brand synthetic (Mobil 1 xW40, Syntec xW40), WHERE do you get it? Some of my local auto parts chains seem to have limited selection of these less common viscosity blends.

Oil is a religion for some folks and in many cases completely devoid of reason or good judgment.
I prefer to use the oil that the car maker recommends for the application as they actually test oils and use objective data to determine the proper oils to use. The car companies know far more about what works in their engines than anyone I've ever seen posting in a car forum.
Ad hype is not an appropriate basis to make an informed, objective technical decisions in my experience. There is no realistic means to determine the true lubrication performance of an oil short of using an extensive oil test sequence such as the ACEA A3/B4 which is the basis for many Euro car maker engine oil specifications.

YMMV
