Go to the hardware store and buy some stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. They are 8mm, 35mm in length.

Cat to exhaust manifold flange is comprised of studs (M8). Are they going to drill out the studs so you can use hex head bolts ?

On my 2000 the cat flange does have pressed in studs, I had to drill them out, only did one side. A real PITA. However the PET does show bolts and nuts so at some time they may have changed this. Not sure when or why.

You should not need to to drill them out, once the headers are off, you can just hit them with a big hammer to knock them out. I snapped 3 of the 6 and all got replaced by SS.

One tip a mate gave me was to cut them flush on the side where the threads were ie the side where the gasket would sit, then drill a pilot hole part way into each stud to relieve a bit of pressure so that they can be tapped out. I might have a crack at doing it that way on the weekend since I have mine to do.

I drilled & hammered out the cat studs yesterday. I experimented a bit and found they were a lot easier to knock out once they were drilled about 80-90% through as per the attached pic. Other pics/details are on my 996 web.
