Default Will these fit my 996?

I have an opportunity to buy 2 17" Turbo Twists - T-55's, 7" wide, from a 2001 996. Can anyone confirm that these will fit my 2004 996 Targa?

TIA

Here's the description:

Two 17”x7” Turbo Twists wheels from a 2001 996 with 22k miles on them. Great condition with some minor scratches.
Straight and true with no curb rash. No center caps. They are not hollow spokes.

They are ET-55. The price is right, I just need to confirm that they will fit.

For the front wheels they will fit.

That is the same width and offset as the stock 17" (PN996 362 124 00)

For my winters, I am running

F 7" x 17" et 55
R 8.5" x 17" et 50

They are the same wheels you are showing.

I got a PM from someone with 4 - 17" wheels to sell. He says

I have a set of 17" 996 wheels like the fronts that were pictured. 17x7 fronts and 17 x 9 rears both ET55 they are in pretty good condition, not perfect but straight and look good from 10 feet.

I know you are looking for winter tires so you may or may not want these but they have Sumi HTRZII tires on them that are at least 80% + treadlife.
I really don't need or want the tires. He wants $600 for the 4 wheels, which is about what I'd spend on some aftermarket wheels. These look good in the pix, and come with color or black center caps. Now, they're a half inch wider than yours, and they are both ET55 as opposed to your saying ET50's in the rear. I really don't know what the ET number means, and whether 55 opposed to 50 makes a difference on my car.

Is this still OK, and am I all right with them for my 2004 996?

That's incorrect. OEM are available in 17" as well.

Yes maybe so but I don't consider those types of wheels true turbo twists...more like just twists lol The wheel I am referring to is optional on the NA 996 and is an 18'' turbo rim from the 996 Turbo.

Sure, I hear what your saying regarding your opinion about the name of the wheel but I could see the OP getting confused by your answer hence I made the clarification. The wheel your referring to is the Turbo II (as per attached pic) rather than the turbo twist.

BTW, I really like the Turbo II wheels, but every time I see those wheels they have the turbo offset, something like 45 and 55 I think... Did they make a special version for the narrow body with 63 offset ?

I have been looking for a while for those wheels as they are the one my car my originally delivered with but no luck so far

17" twist rims were standard on the 99-01 MY narrow body cars. I use that size for my winter wheels. I believe by '04, 18" rims were standard.

the Wheel Pictured Above IS NOT TURBO TWIST WHEEL... This is what Turbo Twist I looks like http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=39

Wheels pictured above is this http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=35 AKA 17" Carrera Wheel

But yes they will fit your 04 Targa 55ET front and 50ET Rear but $600 WITHOUT tires is way to much, they sell for $200-$400, If they were Actual Turbo Twist then $500 would be a good Deal

All this talk is premature. All fitment questions have to go through Ed.
