stock offset:
50 in the front
65 in the rear
but it seems you can push it up to ( TO BE VERIFIED by Ed
48 in the front
52 in the rear
Again, the smaller the number, the more the wheels will stick out of the fender.

So, along comes someone else with 4 mounted snow tires on aftermarket wheels that I saw on Tire Rack. I don't know if these are the same or just similar wheels to the ones that they spec'ed for my 996. These wheels are off of a Boxster. Can you confirm or deny whether these will fit my 996?

What do you think? It will be a good deal if it works. I am concerned about the Offset, and I don't have any clue of what the "backspacing" means. These will be shipped to me from CT.
