It was a strange day in the C4S yesterday. First of all, as I was driving down my driveway (a rather steep hill), the oil pressure dropped to "0" and a warning message came on. I checked the oil level on the dipstick, and it's fine. I'll have to watch this one - could be a bad sending unit.

Later in the day, I got out of the vehicle in a parking lot, and my key fob wouldn't lock the doors. It has a new battery (both the car and the fob), less than a month old. I locked the doors with the key manually. When I returned to the car, the key fob still wouldn't work. I unlocked the doors manually and set the alarm off. Fortunately, it stopped when I started the car. At my next stop, everything was back to normal.

Maybe the C4S was angry because I was car shopping yesterday. Not for a replacement, but for a winter "beater" so the C4S can spend the Colorado winters in a nice warm, dry garage.

Have you been driving your car a lot? She might be showing displeasure over lack of use. Every time I come home from a long trip, mine always has some sort of minor issue.

Check the connectors on the sender.... There might be corrosion or looseness that showed up under gravity.

I think she was upset at the idea of being put away for the winter. What she really wants is a set of winter wheels and tires so she can enjoy the cold and snow. And you don't know what you will be missing unless you get her some.

Never EVER talk to yourself about shopping for another car in the presence of your C4S. It will react accordingly.

i've had the key fob not work around a couple of areas. Could be interference.

I've also had the oil pressure unit go a bit bonkers years ago for a couple of times while driving on the highway. Problem never re-occured.

There are area were the RF (radio freqs) is so strong that it will block out the RF keys...

I'd never hurt her feelings... she's still my girl. I'm just trying to protect her from salt and grit, and from door dings sitting at DIA.

I actually have a set of dedicated wheels and snow tires that were great last year in Indiana, but here in the mountains, I'm afraid the snow will be too deep.

The car did sit for about 4 or 5 days befor this strange behavior.

Maybe she is just jealous...

Hummmmmmmmm the winters here are nothing like the midwest (grew up in Chicago).

Although I did get a car to drive in the winter I would say the 4S is more than capable of dealing with what we get. Although when it id 36in deep, not much is getting anywhere. The good thing is that it melts in a few days

No, it's not. But it's not far off in terms of total snowfall. And we have a few hills. Granted, our snow melts quickly, but I wouldn't want to take the 911 out in more than a couple of inches.

The car might do that every time you double lock the car. Nice feature for guys with teenagers hehehe. Try double locking going from the keys neutral position to lock two times from the normal position then wait and unlock it. Something like that. Same thimg happened to me when trying to mess with my fob and I think it was when I double locked it. I might of tried replicating it with double locking it and it didn't do it again but eh. Or its from unlocking when the car is arming.

Yes, even in Evergreen. Unlike the midwest you do not get to know that pile of snow outside your door personally (unless you have an odd exposure and are in shade all the time).
