Default FisterD's Installed

After reading all of the good review's for the FisterD exhaust mod and some debating I finally decided to take the plunge on my 99 C2.

I ordered them directly from FD Motorsports, in my mind it is such a good bargain why even bother trying to hack them yourself or pay someone else to hack them. Get them directly from the source. Since I am local to the San Francisco Bay Area I drove out to his shop to have him install them. Darin's truly a great guy, so it was fun meeting him and discussing cars and the niche that he's carved out.

I took a walk around his local area to burn up some time while he was installing and right as I was walking back I heard him rip off a nice rev and it is unreal. The idle tone is unreal as well understated but punchy with some growl. By the time I walked into the shop he was adjusting and polishing the tips top make everything just right.

All I can say is wow. It is unbelievable the difference in sound. I know you hear it all the time, but video posts and audio posts just don't capture how good it actually is. You can be quiet when you want to and it opens up when you want it to open up. The way back home has a big tunnel to open it up in and I couldn't keep the smile off my face. Sometimes it's just right.

If I could do one thing different, I probably would have ordered the ceramic coated ones. He had a set of the chrome looking ceramic coated ones getting ready to ship, and they look awesome, not to mention the benefits.

I know this duplicates most of what others already say about the mod, but it really is one of the best and coincidentally most cost effective mods I have EVER done to any car.

Have fun motoring everybody. I know I am.

B&M short shift should be your next mod. $199 and one hour of your time to install. Just as nice of a mod.

Simply reducing radiated heated. No 50hp increase or anything like that. Just better dissipation of heat.

How much are the FD exhaust Mods including install, assuming you bring-in your own cans? My Dad lives in San Jose and might be interrested too. Thanks...

Nice to have another FisterD customer who is happy with the upgrade to OEM sound.

Marc thanks for the bumberplugs info...

Botsy67 contact him directly, I just did a swap with my cans. I do not know if there is a price difference between having it done to your exact cans vs a swap.

I also do not know what the forum rules are on posting price, but it is really affordable.

Barn996 I am really enjoying it. It just sounds right.

I had the mod done a few months back and love it (much better then my old fabspeeds) but I did notice that at wot from 1st gear (my car is a tip) the fisterDs are incredibly loud... so loud that I feel the car needs to be faster to match the noise level

Dennis, How do we get Fister to do a Cayenne exhaust.... that thing is to quiet.
However I would hate too see what it costs to ship a cayenne exhaust!

No doubt... that would be expensive. I actually think the Cayenne sounds pretty good... but louder would be better.

Lots of people put Fabspeed secondary cat bypass pipes on Cayennes, and I think that opens it up quite a bit.
