Default Wires thru firewall?

I'm installing laser jammers and have the two receivers placed in the bumper. I've run the wires up to the drivers side firewall. How do I get them thru the firewall and into the interior? I see a bundle of wires going into a grommet. Would I tap into that and how? Any help would be appreciated.

Cut the grommet enough to slide the additional wires through, then seal it well with a silicone caulk and you will be ok.

I couldn't find a good place on the TechArt style bumper I had to mount these. Luckly a local 996 Artic Silver Turbo owner agreed to swap bumpers. The modules fit nicely into the top spot in left/right Turbo bumper grill sections.

I would use the radio fuse and a fuse tap most radars only need around an 1-2 amps but check manual and believe radio fuse is a 7.5 amp. Ground can be anywhere close for ease of install.

heres a few diffrent fuse taps made by bussmann heres one for 10 amp max http://www.bussmann.com/images/3c2dc...86ccd13aad.JPG

and heres two that are more basic

autozone or advanced auto should carry them

I'd probably use the cell phone plug, since it is already fused. Check out this link for a pic:
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...26&#entry23826

Here are the wires:
Brown - ground
Yellow/Black - telephone mute
Green/Black - switched 12 volts
Red/Green - unswitched 12 volts

Ooh, that would be perfect.

Yep. As much as a loved the TechArt, I had to change in order to install the Jammer modules in a spot that I liked....looked at doing a custom Jammer install on the TA but that would have cost over $2,000 Install on the Turbo bumper is optimal, clean, plus I can do it myself. This Turbo bumper was recently resprayed...in like new condition...the TA was due for a respray....plus it was local deal...no delay, no shipping.

Pro's out weighted the con's type situation.

...back down the slippery slope as next I'll be switching out the TA style side skirts...which I was thinking of doing anyway...

I plan to finish off the install this weekend (also installing 3rd radiator)...will post pic's....
