Ian: My dog will "paw deliver" you a gps that works... And keep in mind that a few thousand miles will just be sitting on a boat... So no biggie there. Just make sure your car doesn't come in close contact with a U.S. 996/997 - you don't want your car to catch the IMS herpes virus - although I hear that if your car is wrapped in a clear bra it should be relatively well protected

Fracture: yeah I know +2K miles to get here... But it's all worth it coming to the West Coast motorsports Mecca...

Here's a few teasers from RRIV--

RRV info

Just saying...

Number 524 joined the 100000 mile club today. Over the few years I have owned it I have done the AOS, water pump, oil filler tube, clutch, RMS, IMS bearing, coolant flush, replaced the windshield, and a brake fluid flush. I sure hope thats all the work I will need to do and can get another 100000 miles out of it.

I dont know if I'll hit the 200000 mark anytime soon. For 100000 though with all the work, it drives awfully smooth.

Did not like the front plate mounting on the front so whilst i had it all off to clean the radiators i 'rearranged' it a bit - think it looks a lot better!!
less intrusive and more aerodynamic officer :roll eyes:

two plastic plugs for the old holes from Home Depot and sprayed them with some silver spray paint i got there too.

Way more asthetically pleasing.

Despite all the factory literature claiming otherwise, there's no center radiator to block!

You know Eric @ bumper plugs makes exact color match plugs if you don't like the Home Depot route.

Yep i knew that and once you have the thing off to clean the other radiators you can see the empty space there if you want to add one.

Thanks - but the home depot plastic ones and a can of Silver spray worked pretty good for me & i am Mr.Fussy!

If anyone is interested, I stumbled across a 40th Anniversary is up for sale at the local VW/Subaru dealer. It is #22 according to the document on the passenger seat. I have no affiliation and the details are here: http://www.chaplinssubaru.com/used/P...earchDepth=1:7

For some reason, they get a lot of Porsches of various sorts in. At the moment, they appear to have 7 including a couple of 997s.
