Gorgeous turbo. Congratulations. Love the color combination as slate gray is one of my favorites. More pictures and driving impressions. I was stunned at the power that a stock 02 had when I rode in a friends. The hand of god that pushes you when the turbos spool is quite intoxicating.

That's a gorgeous car with great options. Nice find. Drive it like ya stole it (and with prices as they are, I assume you did!)
I probably paid more than most are paying but I had very stringent requirements about what I wanted. Had to be stock and totally unmolested with service done at the dealer (well documented indy would have worked as well) religiously. The problem is I found in my search was many Turbo owners just don't take care of their cars the way say the GT3 crowd does. I also wanted coupe, manual, and no black or silver. I'm lucky I even found one!

We're going on a drive to Pinehurst this weekend (about 60 miles from my house) so I'll get plenty of seat time to get a full writeup when I get back.

As far as what to drive...............

Track weekend? Spec Boxster Racecar
Sunny Day cruising with the wifey? CAB
Cruising around by myself or with my little boys? Turbo

See....wasn't that simple?
congrats,
now you have THREE useless cars.
you NEED a GT2 wing on that car

It's refreshing to hear that someone puts quality before price. Price for me as well, is somewhat down the list and less important than getting what you want, and a fine example. I see and hear of how inexpensive 996s have become, but looking at what's out there and the condition, reflects the pricing. There is no way I could sell my near mint 996 Cab for the prices being thrown around today.

Good catch, and enjoy!

So true Nick. While the prices for these cars are really great right now (you can get some 01's in the high 30's now) I wanted a "perfect" example and was willing to pay for it. If you want a great example in a 996 Turbo then be prepared to spend from high 40's to low 60's.

In the long run, those that shoot for price first end up spending so much more trying to get it perfect again. Just doesn't make sense to me to now get it right the first time.

THANK GOD - he's calling it a Turbo instead of a TT.

(Phil and I maintain that only Audi makes the TT, blah, blah blah)

Congratulations Dell - beautiful car.
