Hello all. I've been lurking here for a few months, finally purchased a '99 C2 and wanted to introduce myself. I've found a lot of helpful information on the board, so thanks to everyone for their contributions.
I picked the car up in New York a few weeks back and drove it home to the SF bay area. Interstates are not my idea of fun but of course the car did great.
And I've been lurking long enough to know not to post here without some photos lest I incur the wrath of a certain member. So...
Nice pictures of your new beauty. Must of been a real good shake down cruise coast to coast. I don't know if you've made the trip before but at least the summer time there are some pretty big rabbits called hairs on some hwys at night. I'm glad you made it untouched.

Joe, Congrats on getting a nice looking 996! Thanks for the pics!
Welcome Joe! Driving across the country is a great way to get acquainted with your new car. I drove from Chicago back to CT with mine and loved every minute of it.
Welcome aboard, and thanks for sharing some great pics of your new P-car. Now that you've got over 3,000 miles under your belt, what do you think of her?
Congratulations. What a great way to get acquainted with your new car. You must have had great fun. I drove mine home from North Carolina when I bought it.
Your Mini project is quite the undertaking and you are doing an tremendous job with the reports.
Just skimmed over the motorcycle stuff and I can tell I'll be spending a lot of time there as well.
Looks like 996 is the least we have in common. I've had two of those Mini MkIs, built hot rod roadrace bikes and raced them for a decade, my current job (had since the '70s) is building high performance and custom motorcycles.
