Default Anyone in PA/NJ/DE up for a Spring Fling?

Okay, there's snow on the ground and I'm getting cabin fever. I didn't get to do a Spring drive last year due to parenting duties, but I think I'm up for it this year... especially considering that our own Dr. Phil has offered to play navigator for me.

I'm thinking of digging out the Covered Bridge drive that we did a couple of years ago.

Basically, we would start from Lambertville, NJ, drive north up the Delaware river, then head over into PA for a drive around 7 or 8 of the covered bridges in the area.

Add to this thread if you're interested and I'll keep you in the loop.

Holy cow! That's quite a trip!

Well, Phil is on call the weekend of April 23rd, so I'm currently thinking that we'll probably aim for the weekend afterwards so that we can get good weather and avoid scheduling conflicts.

If Phil buys that hot Basalt Blue Cab and holds it for me, I'll fly up there and use the Spring Fling as a way to test drive my "soon to be" new baby!

Tim, the color of that cab is hot enough that even I was tempted to fly to LA to look at it.

Yeah, there's a chance of that happening, Tim. That paint-to-sample 997 4S is one of the most beautiful cabs I've seen. More of a chance of my showing up for the drive in my kid's 2001 A4.

Sounds like fun. I would certainly be up for a nice drive with the trees blooming. This weather is making me nuts!

Would be interested. Keep me posted.

- Would it be "family friendly" i.e. can bring the kids in the back?
- Try to avoid same date as a PCA Schattenbaum event... March 7, March 20-21

Yes it would be family friendly - I've had my kids in the back of the car for previous runs.

I realize that the 24th is Hershey, so most likely we'll end up organizing for the weekend afterwards.
