Default Millennium: What is it worth?

Ok, I just about bought a 964 today and lets just say it didn't do so well on the ppi. Now that is behind me an I'm on the look again. My next p-car will either be a 964 or a 996. Now, I like millennium's so lets not bash them here. This car popped up on Pelican over the weekend and I like it and most of the mods done to it.

So, what is it worth. NADA doesn't price millenniums and KBB is all over the place with 996's. Autotrader has ME's listed from the high 20's to the high 30's. I've never seen one fetch over 30K on ebay (auction always ends and the car never sells). I know what I think it is worth. I know what the owner is asking for it. I don't want to over pay, nor do I want to insult the owner.

So here is the car:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...tion-sale.html

Let's hear it. Remember, please don't bash the car. Just thoughts on value keeping in mind it's a limited production car, has low miles and has some decent modifications. The current owner is owner #3 and has all records and knows the prior owners. I ran the car fax and it is clean. No warranty, no rms issues to date and still has orig. engine.

To be honest I don't think the Millennium buys much in value, thats a nice car, Aerokit looks great.
I would use comparably optioned cars from that year for pricing. Mid 20's?
Love that interior.

I have the same car with similar mods..... they usually run $3K-$5k more than similar optioned C4. With the mods, c4 chassis and mileage, and badge $28k-$30k is a steal. Its twin....

They are the same wheels except the one for sale was painted. You are in C4S price range now.

Ferd - you gotta drive more now with that market price....

WOW, a four way split. Wasn't expecting this.

BTW, I didn't think anyone but redridge had done this to a millennium.

All it needs are the GT3 seats to be a twin.

I voted 28-30, although I think anything above 28 and they're gonna be sitting on it for awhile waiting for the right buyer. The mileage and percieved condition are quite nice.

I thought they were all factory aero cars though...guess I must have missed a detail there.

My vote's for $25k-27k. I think that any 3.4 996 should go for low 20's, but the mileage, extra wheels/parts and overall condition warrant a few grand extra. I could take or leave the AWD. The special edition is pretty much a trim package so I don't think it adds to the value, but the unique color is worth a bump.

Provided the PPI checks out it's a beautiful car. I'd leave on the mk1 aerokit bumper (love it!) and maybe lose the taco, although it balances nicely on this car.

What's all this about the chromium vapor process for the wheels? I don't think there's anything particularly special in that (i.e., I'm sure a similar finish can be achieved by a good wheel shop), but someone please chime in and educate me.

Mark
