Hopefully the seller is not reading this thread, if you hope to negotiate the price.

I vote 28K -30K, because of the low mileage and options. Keep the Taco!

Redridge, if ok, can you ping me a link to where you keep any nice pics? I LOVE the color. My favorite car color was my previous E36M3 which was "Techno Violet". Your car's interior is gorgeous also. In fact, I tried to order my M3 with "Modena Natur" which was similar, but they discontinued it in 1999 when I ordered my car.

When I was shopping for a new 996 I saw a non aero millennium edition and it just didn't strike me as this one does. Nice car. I was going back and forth on 25-27k or 28-30k. It really depends. Given that it's not a Aero on the build sheet may or may not effect value depending on who you are. The mods are nice but again, depending on who you are, may or may not effect the value of the car in a positive way.

I'd say if you can get it for 27k it would be a great deal. Get a PPI and go from there.

Good luck,

Can someone tell me what exactly this "Millenium" edition is? I'm only familiar with the "40th Anniversary" car... thanks!

Here ya go... I'm sure a Mil owner cal tell you more.

Porsche offered a special edition of the 996 for the year 2000. The company introduced the car as "The 911 for the Millennium" and based it on the Carrera 4 coupe. Only 911 were made.

This special edition was finished in Violet Chromaflair paint with natural leather interior and dark burr maple trim. Available with a Tiptronic or six-speed manual gearbox, the car was well-equipped. A number plate on the center console and a unique "911" badge on the engine lid and lettering on the door sills make this special edition easy to identify.

Its essentially a highly optioned c4 with leather interior.... they have a sticker price of $98K+.... depending if it is a tiptronic and an optional phone. IMHO, the best thing about the car is the unique paint and interior color scheme.... it does draw some attraction at meets.... cause very few really has heard of it, thats about it.....

Well I waited to vote.

When I posted the pole I figured the car was worth 27K. I used Audion19's that recently sold as my guide.

The seller is asking $34,900. I figure we're to far apart so the hunt continues.

If you haven't found one by spring, check back with the seller. There is no way he's going to sell it for that. If I were you, I'd give him your offer and be very polite about it. Tell him you know he's not going to take it but tell him it's a standing offer if he changes his mine. (and you haven't bought another car!) I bought a 911 that way and got a very nice deal on a perfect condition, low mileage car. Good luck!

How come you guys assume these cars are being sold by men ?
This car is being sold by a woman who is a Porsche enthusiast and knows what she has to sell, talked to her this weekend at the PCA Orange Coast region breakfast meeting.

I thought that was funny too knowing that the person who owns the car is a woman.

Well I offered the seller $27K and took the advice of red911c2 and made my offer a standing offer about a week ago. $27K seems to be the average of the poll here too.

The seller contacted me back as she had a ppi done herself (less the compression/leakdown test) and the car checks out well. Thanks for the details Laura! The only issues for me are that the tires are 5 years old going on 6. The oil hasn't been changed in two years. No record of brake, trans., diff, or coolant flushes or belt changes.

So the car checks out. However, low milage, garage queen costs are not being kept up with. I was going to go look at the car in person tomorrow, but the seller is very firm on the price of $30K and I know I'm not willing to pay that premium. I think she has a buyer from somewhere else too.

Oh well, back to looking:
