TomC is right. You can also get them at Taco Bell but the world (I'm referring to Texas) has pretty much moved to soft corn. They're actually a lot easier to eat because the whole thing doesn't crack when you bite into it. You can tuck up the far end to keep the good stuff from running out. We also quit stuffing them with shredded lettuce. That was a filler at best.

Glad to see that things evolved. In Dallas, TX in the 1970s and 1980s, a taco was hard shell. Taco Bell isn't a taco... I'm not sure what that is...

I actually really like the Mexican style tacos with two corn tortillas, onions and cilantro. Good stuff.

When I moved to Austin in the 1990s, the thing there was breakfast tacos. They were all soft tortillas...

You can't minimize the move to corn also. It's so much more flavorful. Gourmet food trucks are big here like everywhere and high end tacos are primary fair.

I didn't other to read this thread, too much effort. From the title, I assume that it's a rant about the lights looking like fried eggs.

Mine look more like bangers and mash.
