Default has anyone used these headers?

They are DPT motorsport. Found on Ebay. And if so how was the quality, would you recommend?

They are selling cheap Chinese crap at $95 a set of headers. What do you think?

Have you thought about doing an internet search on DPT Motorsport? They don't even have a website. My guess is they take orders for their "products" and then have them shipped to you from the overseas supplier.

The Vortex is strong with this one!

Nothing wrong with being frugal. I sure don't buy my Porsches new. But there's cheap... and then there's vwvortex cheap. "Dude, I really want to buy that VW grateful dead sticker, but it's over three dollars! I wonder if they take lay-away?"

If you are looking for some cheap headers, I've got a set that I made out of paper towel and toilet paper tubes. Plus, they are VERY light weight!

the factory exhaust manifolds look like they would flow pretty good anyways. spending $2-300 on headers for a street car probably wouldn't even be felt.

I have not tried them but the flange looks thick enough as to not warp easy, but you may research the size of the tubes and see how they measure up to the more expensive ones in size and for 99 bucks you can do a write up. To me expensive does not equate to the welds not cracking or getting them replaced is going to be better experience either and in this case you can just toss em'.

As far as the ney sayers do not worry when I post my side skirts going on my car your post will qwickley be forgotten.

what are you looking for ???

a little more sound? or you just itching to buy something?

for a little more sound try the Gillette Mod ($3.00) and 5 minutes plus you get a free can of shaving cream to use
a little more.... try Hack Mod MKII for your mufflers (get a set of 3.6 OEM cans for ~ $150 and spend $50 to get the mod welded in... less than an hour to swap - great sound)
even more ? try some by-pass pipes - $200 for knockoffs or $400 for used fabspeeds, takes 30 pounds off the back of the car and sounds very aggressive... 40 minute job

i got a pair of something like these. i believe they were from a factory in china that sold them for $30 per unit, and someone tried to bring them in a container and double their money on them.

I put them on just for the hell of it, since 5hp gains does nothing to improve noticable performance, what's losing 5 hp if that were the case. Just take out the spare tire if you're so concerned about marginal differences, it's not like a stop and go traffic light drag race would notice if you were 5 hp over or less than stock.

with that said, it sounds like an F1 car now with the cheap headers, they look just like Fabspeed designs, the only difference is the tubes may or may not be the same sizes, but who cares, it sounds awesome. When I was at the muffler shop years ago and they put them on, another customer at the shop was anxious to hear how it sounded, when I drove away I floored the car away, and I could see his face in the rear view mirror as I was pulling away on he was in awe with the sound change.

It got more high pitched, kind of like a F1 race car.
