Default Buying new wheels thanks to road debris!

Short version - I clipped a base of a temporary road marker that was supposed to have a post in it the other night (no post was there and there was no reflector in the base). The 8"diam/4" tall solid puck was glued in between two lanes of a road i was driving on and, after revisiting the scene, it seems that most of the other ones have already been "removed" by other drivers. I clipped the damn thing and destroyed the lips of both my passenger side 18" O.Z Velas.

Thankfully, insurance cut me a check for $2500 and I am considering a set of 19" Race Inc RPK-065 wheels with Hankook V12 tires (see link)

Obviously the guys from Wheel Dynamics are reputable, however, I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on these wheels (quality, finish, weight) or any other suggestions in this price range?

No experience with those wheels, but that's some crazy lip.

Wheel Dynamics are pretty good though, I still want their GT3 replicas for mine.

Yeah, the lip is a little extreme..not as crazy as some of the "DUB" magazine type stuff I've seen, but these are at "the limit of good taste". There are a few other wheels they carry (BBS style spokes), but I'm a fan of the five spoke cosmetic and can only "assume" that these should be a little lighter than that style in this price category. The other ones I'm considering are these

or the Victor Equipment Lemans. My O.Z.'s were great, but they don't make the Vela in that size/style any longer...plus, I don't want to fork out more cash since i wasn't "planning on" making this purchase at all a week ago!

I don't know the weight, however, these will be strictly street wheels. I'm keeping the O.Z.'s, repairing the bent lips (the wheel is still round and no vibration...just a bent lip) and then I'll repaint them and use them for the track. I'm just scared that the weight difference may be significant enough to negatively affect day to day performance and hoping they are sturdy enough to handle the "lovely" Louisiana roads!

I think the pictured wheels look great.

I'll also be in the market for new wheels, but not for a little while. I think I'm going to put snows on my existing Turbo Look II wheels this fall, and then buy a set of Sport Technos and have them custom painted next spring. We'll see...

Post pics when you get new wheels...

Agreed. On 6-speed you'll occasionally see a set of Champions or HREs go for around 2500.

I'd love to get a set of Champions or HREs, but I'm on a bit of a time dilemma as this is a daily driver so I need to make this transaction as quick and painless as possible....but still, no one has any info on these wheels so it looks like I'm gonna be the guinea pig.

I'll post pics of the results either way. Thanks for the info and input.

The wheels pictured look very nice, are you sure that the rears are for a narrow body?

Wow, they look great! I've never seen a NB with that much lip. Are the rears 10" or 11" wide?

Pretty wheels. Make sure they are at least low pressure cast and not gravity cast. Heat treating and shot-peening would be a plus. Structural warranty? Finish warranty? Given the size of the lips they are going to bend easy if not of good construction.

From what I've been told - low pressure cast, 10.5" rear. But they want to do it with a 275/30 and not a 295/30 tire...I'm assuming for clearance reasons and overall diameter. My current tire is a 285/30/18.
