Wheel spacer question for a 99 Carrera 4

Does anyone run the 15mm hubcentric spacers on both the front and back? Wondering if this is too much. My primary interest is bringing the wheels out to match the fenders - not track work.
Why do people run 15mm on the front and smaller on the back - is that for track use only?
Thanks!

IMO it is just looks (97%)
Redridge runs 15s all around, I have 15F 7R... it just depends on how you like it to look. I am currently thinking of going to 15s in the rear too...
so to answer your question
YES - some do
NO - not just for track

Guys, about spacers...
I just bought my 2001 996 C2. The previous owner installed some 19" GT-5 wheels on the car. Looks fantastic, but it didn't take me very long to notice that the tires rub in the back when the car squats under high acceleration (1st or 2nd gear usually). I'm pampering it for now, because the last thing I want to do is damage the tires (or the car!).
I think a set of spacers at the back may help cure the problem, but I can't confirm where the tires are rubbing. If it's inside (i.e. tire against suspension), then 15mm of spacers will most probably do the job. If it outside, then I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it...
FYI, I have M030 suspension, which probably doesn't help...
Any thoughts from the wise?

ah... I left the Porsche at the other garage... I'll have to get back with your guys tomorrow for the specs on the new wheels.
Do you know what the specs are on the original wheels?

UGG.... I was wondering where my brain was, but I can do this with out it...
You claimed to have 19 inch wheels and rubbing, thats why we need to know the offsets.

OK, so I have partly failed my mission... There are indeed stampings on either side of the valve stem, but the information there is irrelevant I believe. One side says "VIA" and the other side sayd "JLJ", or something like that. No numbers. Google to the rescue, I find that the GT5 rims I have have a 50mm offset, but I don't know the width (no measuring tape on me)
I did note down the tire information however. Fronts are 235/35ZR19 91Y, and rears are 275/30ZR19 96Y.
I attached a picture also of the rear wheel.
Let me know if you can tell anything with the limited info I have here. If not, I'll have to measure the wheels next time, but that'll be Friday at the earliest...
