post the "rest of the pics" and I will mail you a new hood - just happen to have one in the garage but the "ornament" doesnt look quite right on mine.....

Yes it was worth it...cant tell you the rest of that story. I drive the car and its got 70K on it so I'm not stressing, its not a show car. I would send a pic but it really hard to see. The hood is really not that bad, but like I said above if you know its there it bugs the crap out of you.
I have a vintage 280z and the sheet metal on that is super thin, too. Had to bang out tons of little dimples before I had it painted.

I've always wanted to do a photo set like that, but have been afraid of exactly that happening.... plus it would be a pain to set up the lighting in my messy garage.

Me too. But, my garage would be really messy with my blood after my wife found me doing a photo shoot with some chick. The creases in the hood of my car would be from the impact of my very unconscious head.
