Yup, I'm impressed... I'm guessing the weather is warmer where you are, as my garage is freezing right now, so there's no way my wife is going out there.

Male chauvanist pig alert: Page 2 of the chick owners manual....get a few drinks in 'em and their tolerance for all sorts of debauchery goes down significantly. Trick is to not go over the edge and have her pass out on you- kinda like building a race engine..cross a certain line and "ka boom"

Hot wifey, lucky man.

One question though, if you don't mind me asking...why did you edit the background?

Yeah, I'll post a pic of my wife huddled alongside her new 328, dressed in a down parka, shivering, and clutching a cup of hot coffee. Sort of the same idea, right??

....OK, getting back to the hood..talked to the PDR guy just a minute ago. He says if there is a "hard crease" he cant do much with it. Apparently once the metal acquires a bend past a certain point, you cant really get it out. If the metal stretches you cant get the genie back in the bottle, so to speak. Coming over next weekend to take a shot at it. Assuming that is fruitless, how much do you think Dr. Porsche ING wants for a new hood?

Yup - that's just sooo sexy... the only time that works is when there's nothing on under the parka and it involves playing in the snow... for some reason my wife will not go for that, no matter how many times I ask.

they usually charge $150 per panel. If there are 2 dings on 1 panel still $150, but 1 ding in 2 seperate panel... $300. etc...

That's the price local to me

Hoods come across the block pre-owned quite often... Not sure about new cost, but a couple hundred for a pre-owned is fair, then you get to have it painted (new or used there)

I really do have a GT2 hood in perfect condition in my garage (speed yellow) The plan is to replace my hood someday with it, but since I am taking SO many chips from driving so much, I hate to put nice new paint of the old girl right now... maybe before I sell if that day comes (paid for it with some other parts so not really sure how much I paid, but it was a good deal....and I CAN use it -unlike the other parts-)

Need a GT2 OEM wing???

Great post. You are one lucky man.
You may want to get a few more creases before replacing the hood. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Got a feeling this Volvo got a few creases and scratches as well... Albeit safe sex was practiced on it for sure.

Ed, how many more GT2 parts do you need to have a complete car, 3 or 4?
