Default U.S.-based Porsche Magazines

Okay, I picked up the much acclaimed EVO Porsche Supercars issue that was buzzing around a few weeks ago... In addition, I also picked up the latest issues of "GTPORSCHE", "911" and "911 & Porsche World" magazines. All very nice with excellent articles and pictures, but all British... Not that there's anything wrong with that (I don't mean to imply anything)... but one of the things I like about car magazines is the ads sprinkled throughout and in the back... and British magazines are filled with British retailers...

Now, can anyone recommend a good U.S.-based periodical?

Thanks,
Rudy

I really like that EVO issue, but the right-hand drive cars just seem, er, backwards.

Also if you join PCA you'll get Panorama magazine which is pretty good for insider articles and event coverage.

+1 on RHD. I did join PCA, received Panorama and agree.

Looks like "Excellence" is the CW favorite - I'll go find a copy.

Thanks for the tip!

Thats all it's good for, it's a fast read, not much content. I'm usually disappointed in Pano.
I like the classifieds

Someone tell me why I can’t subscribe through their website. I finally found my checkbook and sent in the payment. WTF – who still writes checks and puts them in the mail? Excellence subscribers.

And to the OP, most of the US periodicals I've seen blow. I like Automobile, Pano [pictures], and I take evo as well.

They do that only for 996, 993, 964, 928, 924 and 914 owners, because they figure if you own a Porsche that is no longer in production, you will be more comfortable with the 1990s payment method.

BTW - if you have a 997 you can pay electronically.

Don't feel bad though, as soon as they found out I turned my 996 back to the leasing company and replaced it with a Honda, they discontinued my subscription and applied the remainder of my unused subscription dues toward a subscription for Hot Import Tuners magazine.

Pano is lame except for street talk,my favorite was the comparison with a Z4 guess who won! Or was that Excellence? They are really the only options.
