Anybody see these?
Porsche 996 Carrera GT3 MA SHAW FENDERS CARBON FIBER 220890167936
I PM'ed the seller and he says that he had Shaw custom build them for him, and he needs to sell them because he is running out of space. Right...
Might even be a good price for fiberglass, but the shipping is an additional 150 and we don't know who actually built them.

seems cheap. are they light?
you can always re-sell them for some amount of money if they dont turn out to be what you want...maybe loose $100 and some time?? or make $100????

17" rims
These seem priced a bit high.
I assume they would work on a narrow body 996.
does anyone know what size winter tires would work?

Yep. 'bout ready to put them back on for the winter -- so I can, again, try to completely sand off the finish on the front of the car.

Thanks, it sounds like they are a good price and they would fit my narrow body '04.
I am thinking of having a set of 17's for the winter - what size tires for winter would you recommend?

Sports Design Wheels
I found a set of 4 18" Sports design wheels with Toyo R888 tires. Picking them up tomorrow.
Description: Wheels and Tires for 996.
OEM 18" 2-piece sport wheels came as optional equipment on 2000 Carrera 2. The fronts are 18x8 and the rears are 18x11. The front wheels are in excellent shape, the rears have a little road rash on the rims. Silver centers, polished aluminum rims. Markings on the inside of the center section read: 996362. They have Toyo R888 tires. 225/40ZR18; 265/35ZR18. Fronts have only one track day on them and are not even close to the wear bars. The rears are at the wear bars, but show no cording. Excellent grip, no flat spots, well balanced.

Anyone with experience with these?

For $40, the guy claims to sell you a link to an international website where you can buy a Sachs clutch kit for only $329.

Sounds like the guy's being pretty upfront about what he's doing & seems hard to lose on this deal. I spent 3 hours this week pricing clutch kits for my son's 951, and best I could do was Zim's $520 aftermarket kit. So this seems like it's worth taking a $40 flyer on.
