New pics of my 911 Carrera 2 Aero (1999) Vesuvio Metallic - trying out my new phone
I got a Nokia N95 8Gb phone with 5mpix camera a couple of days ago and here are some sample shots. I am quite happy with the quality of the pictures taking into account that it is a phone. However, sunshine and nice panorama on the background would be nice but at the moment we have only 5 hours of daylight here. So this is what I got.
Please excuse me the dirty car. Keeping the car clean on our salty and sandy roads is very laborious.
As you can see, I chose not to store my car for the winter. Despite the fact that the car has brand new winter tires, being a Carrera 2 manual with no ESP, the driver has to be extremely focused on driving. The car spinns quite easily. But in the snow, on a large, empty parking lot or on the ice of a lake, oh boy how fun driving can be in the winter!

WOW, those are great pocs for a phone. I am impressed. Nice looking car.
My phone does not take pics, because it and my camera have a "gentleman's agreement." The phone agrees not to take pics, and the camera agrees not to make phone calls.
BTW - just in case no one has told you this yet.... did you know that if you stop driving with the sunroof open, your hair will eventually grow back!

Very cool! I have the exact same phone! If anybody remembers the pictures I took of my C4S, they were also taken w/ my N95 8GB:
I haven't carried a full-blown digital camera in a couple of years now! I have my camera set to 2.0mp and you can see the full 2.0mp set here. I also send some of my pics to my picture blog, although my picture blog was started when I had my Sony Ericsson K790a 3.0mp camera.
Guy, if you are impressed w/ the still pictures, then you will be VERY impressed w/ the video capture capability. The only thing I don't like is the LED flash... Sony Ericsson Cybershot phones come w/ a full-blown xenon flash.
I'm very excited about the new and upcoming "iphone killer", the Nokia N97 -- touch screen and full QWERTY tactile keyboard. I'm almost tempted to pay full retail when the NAM model comes here so I can get it ASAP!

Remember he is from Finland. In Europe they have really good phones and the latest stuff. Good luck, nice ride and especially driving it in the snow.

I used that logic on my daughter when she wanted me to upgrade my phone so I could take pics. I told her it wasn't necessary because my phone still worked and so did my camera. Then I told her about the "agreement" they had with each other.

My old phone was 5 years old and I am not into phones, so I am very surprised about the things this phone can do! With the 3.5G HSDPA connection that this phone has, viewig pictures and sending messages (this one too) works like a breeze! It is only a bit slower than the cable that I have on my home PC. 5 years seem to be a lifetime, when talking about cell phone development.
