Default Gumball 3000 Rally

If anyone remembers the 80s film Cannonball run, well the Gumball 3000 is pretty much the real life version of the Cannonball run. Not a timed event, no prize for 1st place, but just fun cracy driving for 3k miles and crazy parties at the end of each stop.

The 1st stop of the Gumball 3000 rally this year was in Los Angeles this past weekend, I think the route is something like SF, LA, SD, LV, N Korea, China for this year.

One of the perks about owning an exotic is that you get invited to an event like this, so I was able to put my Ferrari on display on Hollywood blvd right in front of the Kodak theater where the whole block was closed off for the reception of the Gumball 3000 rally cars.

Here are some pics from this Saturday, there were a good number of RR there of course driven by famouse celebrities. Jonny Knoxville, David Hasselhoff (Nightrider car), and some super rich people from around the world.

Enjoy

Of course we will start with pics of my Ferrari. :P

Big crowd there

Supposely this is the richest youngest person in the world. (Networth like 20 billion, from Russia 30 some odd years old)

A lot of Porsches there

RR

Hot babe from one of the TV shows

Funky looking color on this Ferrari

Jonny Knoxville and the crew

The most exotic rare car there, a Apollo Gumpert

Yeah $125k for the entire rally, I was offered a "Discounted" price of $15k for the SF-LV part of the rally. I think it is worth it if my schedule permitted, I see this as once in a lift time experience.

http://www.gumball3000.com/

You can rent the previous gumball3000 videos from Netflix to get an idea the fun factor of these events. Lots of Porsches in the Gumball events.

Classy guys.

Last year's rally ended when a speeding Porsche slammed in to an elderly couple killing them both.

The humanitarians attempted to flee in another car. While the driver was out on bail he again tried to flee the country by private plane.

This is auto racing if Paris Hilton were CEO.

Ugh.
And, ha.

Hey, by the way there's a new Death Race moving coming out.
And it's got a Porsche!

So...it's a bunch of trust fund babies with too little skill to head to a track?

Which one? The one picking his nose?

I don't know man, it was crazy. When I got home I had like 200 finger prints on the back of my car. I think they all wanted to touch it so they can have the bragging rights to say they touched a Ferrari.

Right, that's funny.
In every picture with a crowd, there's someone doing something odd....

Anyway, looks like it was fun....
