That's too bad Bob; its approaching 200 registered cars; this has got to be the biggest event of the year for Carolinas!

I suspect this is the biggest event each year for the Carolinas......people are tired of DE's in 90 plus degree heat and cooler weather means more HP......

she's RACE chair, Brian is DE chair and even that is being transitioned to John Babinski.

The race burned her out so much that she wants to have nothing to do with a track or PCA for a while.

huh? that's the way it's always been. Brian has ALWAYS run the DE's, Nadine has helped. Nadine right from the start was ALWAYS running the race, Brian was helping. Nadine used to be registrar, but handed that off last year to Jim & Robin Hecht after doing it for 5 years.

So instead of having a race chair and a de chair we now have 2 separate but titled the same track co-chairs?

Anyway, forget the changing titles, etc. The real question is how you can be tired of pca when it's the social aspect of de's that is second to none!

Second to the social aspect of a race.

Besides, we wouldn't make it up until very late Friday night. She doesn't get home until 7 or 8 each night, and can't take anymore days off with all she took off for the race and will for Thanksgiving. She's in the middle of a major project...as a consultant, every day off also costs her a lot of money.

There's still a lot of work to do to close out the race: pay all the vendors & workers, finalize all kinds of reports and stuff, figure out the numbers vs. the budget, etc.... bascially, she needs a break from everyone and everything car related.

And honestly, after now doing 32 weekends to date of PCA activities, (not including the stuff we're already doing next weekend in Knoxville)
I need a break too.

How many track weekends have you done this year? We've done 8....

Actually the social aspects are different. At the race I only was able to socialize with the racers. At the DE's I get to socialize with both racers and DE guys from all levels. And the level of stress is VERY low
