Hey, Cary/Apex crew - I'm back from vacation. The photos from the swap meet trip were great - thanks for posting.
As some of you know, I've signed up for "Team in Training", which raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma society. We're running the half marathon in Kiawah in December. So, I'm training with the runners on the team every Saturday morning at 7am until we reach the race (officially kicks off this coming Saturday). Therefore, I won't be able to attend the Saturday morning coffees and fun runs for a while.
I'll keep checking the website, and I'm sure we'll see each other soon. Have fun, be safe, and keep posting those pictures.
Bob

Bob, good luck with your training. Just remember that the distance runs are "mind games" and there willl be days that your head and body just do not want to take that next step. Just stay with it. How many days a week are you training?

Bob,
If your head and body have a hard time taking that next step, I selflessly volunteer to follow you and offer kind words of encouragement, like Gunnery Sargent Hartman.

Thanks for the varied, but always funny comments, everyone.
Ken - LOL! You're the best person for the sargent's role. I think I'd run faster if I heard that rumbling 928s4 exhaust behind me...followed by maniacal laughter (that's you). Remember this line?
"The way I see it, you owe me for one jelly donut!!!"
Rich - I haven't forgotten about the offer to run with you. I'd enjoy it. I'm running 3x a week, including the Team in Training run on Saturdays. Sunday is usually next, with a mid-week run on the treadmill. I'll call you (or feel free to call me).
I'm done hijacking the discussion.

Another great Saturday meet. A good turn out and and nice drive to finish it off. The Orange Cayman S left before I started snapping pictures. A new-to-our-meet car arrived today; John’s 930.
Nice change in the weather; not too hot and lower humidity. I lead the drive today.
