a very good question, I asked the same question recently, there is a brown connector on right side of engine compartment, if you unplug it will not go quiet 25-45.

edit, there is also a fuse relay, but I haven't tried it personally.

You want to follow the write up here:
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2470

removing the brown clip as mentioned above defeats the purpose of bothering to have the switch installed in the car. That will leave it "on" all the time and unable to be turned to quite mode.

Its simple, just don't connect the wire to the speedometer. This is what i did when I installed my PSE with electronics. You could also connedt the speedometer wire and put a swtch on it to have the option of the speed dependent over ride. I would have to go back to the detalied instructions to see which wire it is, but it is the only one going to the instrument cluster.

Not true. That simply disconnects the electrical cutout system and will disable the manual override switch as well.

If you want the 25-45 cutout to be disabled, then when the PSE electrical harness is installed, tell your installer NOT to connect the loose end of Pink/grey wire that is part of the harness. The Pink/grey wire connects to the speedometer signal A connection block (jumper plug 1/1 slot 23 on the relay support bracket 1) , and is what tells the relay to quiet the mufflers at speed. This wire is on pin 6 of the relay socket.

By not connecting this wire, the PSE never knows how fast the car is going, the quiet mode cutout will never activate.

The clipping of a diode on the relay also works, but it damages the relay in the process, and does not really address the real solution, which is removing the speedometer signal. Since you are having the PSE installed from scratch then do it the right way, and don't hook up the pink/grey wire.

The link is taking you to the Renntech site. Different from this site but full of valuable information. Definitely worth the investment.
