I've run both when I had my M3 and I like both just the same, but I like the RE050A Pole Position price much better.

Neither tire is great for the track from what I hear.

I have not driven the RE050, but I have nothing but good things to say about my PS2's.

I use PS2 on all wet track days. They are great. As far as dry, they are great for a non-R compound tire.

Between those two, PS2... but have you also checked out Yokohama Advan AD07s?

Reading the reviews at tirerack and it sounds like the Yokohama Advan AD07's are better for the track then PS2's

Definitely. Tlhe AD07's are awesome. The PS2's have a softer sidewall.

you guys gotta realize there's always a trade-off. not one tire can do all things the best.

make sure you guys know that there is an RE050A non pole position which i believe may be discontinued and there's the re050A pole position. the non poles are your standard tires, but the PPs are the ones that are comparable to the PS2s. and cheaper. ps2s are way overpriced man.

I've had good experiences with Bridgestones in the past, and to echo Ben, the RE050A is a great tire esp. at the price point. Not to take anything away from the PS2...but the RE050A is what I'm going with for my next set.

i've tested both on the track; the PS2 is a much faster tire. if you're only driving on the street, save your $$$ and go for the RE050A; it's a great tire and quite a bit cheaper than the PS2. they also last longer than their treadwear rating would indicate.

Quick Reply: PS2 or RE050-A ??
