Default Aftermarket Front Spoiler/bumper

I need a new bumper for my '99 and I'm considering getting an aftermarket style. Looking for recommendations and pictures. I've searched around a bit and I like the turbo one, but would like to see more options.

JBRipps - I like your pic. What type is yours?

This is my first post ever on RL so pls forgive me as I dont completely know how this all works. I think I am interested in the turbo look front bumper for my MK1 996. NRAuto one looks great but it sure would be reassuring if someone else on the forum had experienced this bumper on their early 996. Anyone installed one of these?

I love how the early cars look with the full aero kits. Not sure if this is the same piece as you guys are talking about.

sidenote not to steal the thread - do the 02+ cars even have a similar looking kit? i dont think ive seen it

Default aftermarket turbo style bumper

GT racing looks great but someone posted on this thread only to go with fiberglass if I "really want it"... NRAuto is PVC. NRAuto says thiers is slightly "softer" than OEM and should in theory hold up better (chips, dings) but I have no idea... Fiberglass vs PVC vs Carbon Fiber, anyone want to weigh in on the choices? thanks!

Add polyurethane.
Fiberglass and carbon fiber will crack with an impact. Poly is the OEM standard for most car manufacturers and will bend and generally bend back with a slight impact.
Fiberglass takes a lot of prep to get right. A lot of body shops will take shortcuts and leave the fiberglass wavy. The make Corvettes out of it, so someone knows how to make it work though.

Urethane is ready to go with little or no prep work.

I have not worked with carbon fiber but it seems to vary widely in the prep necessary.

Fiberglass moulds are cheap and easy, the materials are cheap, the bumpers are inexpensive.
Poly moulds are very expensive so it takes a long time for a manufacturer to recoup the cost and the bumpers tend to be more expensive.

Depending on demand there may or may not be a mould available for a certain style bumper in poly. Fiberglass may be your only choice.
Turbo look front, you can find in poly.

PVC? No idea, but if it's anything like a sprinkler PVC it would crack pretty easily.
