Charlotte Fun Run

Darn guys. I don't post here much and just saw this... I'd love to meet a few of you next time. This one would have been perfect as I live in Hickory! Car is black turbo with a Proto 650 kit and some aero stuff. I'm down in CLT all the time on business...plate says $manager...if someone see me give me the finger or something!

THANKS
Thanks to BillJ for organizing this event.
The weather was perfect, and the participants enjoyed the roads, fresh mountain air, and the new friends we met.
Thanks to GMP for hosting coffee and doughnuts at the starting site.
We should do this again in the fall.

I had a great time and gained a newfound respect not only for water-cooled 996/997s but for the driving abilities of those who participated!
Weather couldn't have been better, the roads were relatively wide open, and as Tom mentioned - new friendships were forged. All in all a memorable day!

Thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday. We were blessed in so many ways - PERFECT weather, great host to start out the morning in GMP (thanks Matt for the coffee, donuts, and tour), no attention from municipal employees, and absolutely gorgeous roads with little to zero traffic when it counted. Best of all the group we had was fun and definitely well behaved. Now that we have done the route here is what we took - after Lincolnton things were really interesting and the only variation was that we did not go on the Blue Ridge Parkway at any point - just stayed on 181. What a road

Once we got there the Blowing Rock Grill was our host - Ragged Inn could not accomodate a small number so they made reservations for us at the Grill with a private room just for us. Very nice and the burgers were really good. AND - the www.Bumperplugs.com that Eric generously donated went to to two lucky...gentlemen... and they were of course thrilled. Thanks Eric!!!!!
Will try to do another run later this year and would be really interested in getting a group out to the Kart track sometime soon....
Bill
PS - Post your photos guys!!!

Hey, anyone seen a Porsche 997 gas cap along 321 over to Blowing Rock
I just found out there is some type of Rennlist Member program and it helps support the site. I just paid today, so it might be a few days before I get my membership number and can post a few photos.
