Default ATL shop?

Does anyone know of a reputable shop in Atlanta that can do work on late model P-Cars? Preferably located relatively close to Gwinnett County. After my recent wallet rape at the local Porshce dealer, I want to get out ahead of things for the next time I need some sort of repair or service. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Pat

p.s. - I am also looking for a car stereo installer who would be ok with letting me shop for the components online myself and just do the install. Any ideas?

Yep

J3 Motorsports in Buford (Ask for David)
Phone: 866.856.5454

Performance Imports in Chamblee (ask for Peter Wendt)
Phone: 770.457.5550

Either one, tell them Chad Austin sent you. Each shop has great rates. I took my car to J3 as it was closer to me.

Good luck.

You could try Rylands in Marietta (770) 951-9305
or
Napa on hwy 9 in Windward (678) 297-0148

I've used both and have had no problems with either.

rylands is great, J3 is great, Kinetic is great. also look to jack lewis enterprises. steer clear of performance imports & peter wendt. they've been sued multiple times by PCA members for theft and fraud.

That's a shame. When Bob Sanderson was there, I had a great time dealing with those guys. Too bad it went south...

Curious, how does Roock rank in ATL? Me and a buddy both had engine swaps done there recently. Overall, everything went fine considering we were both out of state.

So do performance shops like J3 also do the basic stuff, like scheduled mx or minor repairs?

BTW - I appreciate all the input.

I would look up Kerry Singley at the Premier Service Center - two locations (one in Alpharetta, and the other in Marietta). Kerry is a Peachstate PCA member and races with the Club.

His numbers are:
Alpharetta (770) 663-3939
Marietta (770) 971-1240

They aren't in the Gwinnett area, but they may be close enough that you can leave your car.

I've trusted him for years and consider him and Jim Rossi friends. I still call them today, even though I live in the Raleigh area.

You might also try Franz Blam Racing. Both of these organizations have ads in the Peachstate PCA Porsche Presse online. Here's the link, in case you don't regularly visit the website:
