Drifting is a sport, you know.

Your question is like a person who likes Football stating to a person who likes Rugby. "Why play Rugby, it's a stupid sport that makes no sense to me."

As was said earlier, Porsches are not the choice for drifting, especially 911s with the engine in the rear. P-cars are designed to go around corners quickly and in control. The guy in the GT3 video is a highly skilled driver, especially so as he was trusted with the car so near those rock walls!

Drifting is a sport like football would be if it was played on ice and the players wore slippers.

I don't know if you noticed but I mentioned the most common cars used for drifting in a previous post. Drifting as a sport requires highly skilled drivers especially if you understand and know the rules of the game.

I just finished watching this movie on HD-DVD and what I can tell you is this:

1. There is nothing like watching HD-DVD on a 73" 1080p Mitsubishi Diamond Series TV utilizing a Toshiba XA2, Onkyo TX-NR1000 pushing sound out to the 7.1 Klipsch Reference Series speaker setup.
2. The drivers are highly talented although there was a lot of computer generated crap in the movie too.
3. The girls in the movie are damn hot, I don't think I saw one ugly one at all, very pleasing to the eyes.
4. Cars are nice.
5. Drifting is not my cup of tea.
6. Why would anyone want to go by the nickname 'Twinkie', it's a slang name used to describe a young gay man. But then if he is, that's cool.
7. The chicks in the movir are hot...oh wait I already said that, oh well it's the truth.

Overall I will give this movie a 3 out of 5.

Would I try this with my Porsche, hell no, I cannot be replacing tyres every week and repairing this that and the other because I cannot get my car to hook-up, which it does very well thank you.

I watched Grand Prix in HD the other day and that was awesome.

You can forget drifting with your 996 Tip! Get a rice rocket and spare your P car the torture.

It's the stock GT3 Mk.1/Aerokit gurney flap.

Yep as Mr. C4 says, it is a stock piece that comes with the GT3 aero kit. Most were painted to match the colour of the car. I installed mine a few months back but left it black as you can see in my avatar.

If you are missing it, get it. If you need part number for it, here it is: 996-512-988-00

Speaking of drifting a Porsche, this takes a lot of car controll skill. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enr7e...eature=related

Car/driver seems to be sponsored by Hankook tires...........................

Ciao,

J.

Add one more for the "not on purpose" response. I can't see drifting "for sport" knowing what new tires cost.
