I wonder if the poster knows that the RMS is not around the window.

well, I did see one thread recently where a guy was wanting advice on buying a 966... he kept on referring to the 996 as a 966, so I think he genuinely believed what he was typing.

OK, check out Brew123's 1st post on the 997 forum posted at 8:51. His second post was on this thread (post # 26) at 9:01. Seems to be a theme going here! Can you say Troll????

Ok Ok Geeza whiz, I'm a new user didn't mean to offend anyone. I'll post a picture in a couple of days. Now you have to be a member to post a pic. and wait for your member number. Also The Molsons beer redirect was pretty darn funny if I say so myself. It's obvious you guys are protective of your cars, your club is not mutually exclusive.

Cory, probably not because he has the right to post what he wants. Since he didn't attack anyone personally or try to sell something, I don't think the moderators would see any reason to delete it. It will be interesting to see if he ever posts anything on Rennlist again.

I was refering to an artical I read in the Sept issue of Excellence page 120 "which to Buy" and asking for feedback. Has anyone that considered my question read this artical? It seems I am the one being attacked.

What you did was the equivalent of walking into a harley bar where there has been a long-running "heated" discussion about "X" over a period of years, and then saying "well, I don't really know that I want to buy a harley because I heard that "X." It is no wonder that someone hassles you . . . .

There are thousands of posts about RMS failures in this forum, the 997 forum and, gasp, the GT3 forums . . .

There are thousands of posts about valve guide failures and CEL light issues in the 993 forum.

Each porsche tends to have its "issues." You should buy the one you really want, because each issue can be dealt with, and many seem to be overblown.

Good luck.

Brew - I guess I may have "jumped to conclusions" about your initial two posts. If that is the case, then I owe you an apology!

The reason for my "conclusions" was the fact that some of us (or most of us) that have been around here for a while have seen the occasional post of someone new that comes in and makes some Chicken Little "the sky is falling" comments just to "stir the pot." Usually, they are a User (never intend to become a Member) and after 5 or 6 posts, we never hear from them again. Since you are new here, you obviously haven't seen these "one hit wonders," as I call them, and don't have the same "historical perspective" we have concerning these types of comments made in initial posts from a "newbie."

Now that I see that you are a Member, I can assume you are serious about sticking around here and were not just attempting to with your comments. So, let me start all over again!

Brew - Welcome to Rennlist! I noticed from the thread you started that you are looking for a 996. I will post on that thread about your RMS questions. Again, welcome to the Porsche Phunny Pharm!

Keep in mind that I am not trying to be aggressive . . . at all.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to research this issue. It is a valid issue and questions regarding the issue are perfectly acceptable.

It just has been beat so to death, that "usually" the only ones who bring it up like that are those who want to have an interesting fight on a boring Tuesday.

I had an RMS leak, and it was fixed under warranty. It never leaked again after that. No big deal.
