Turbos make guys drool too...not necessarily girls. Hmm... I wonder what that means?

awed by the 996? LOL in LA?

hey man get the M6. i feel you on the 997 deal not really feeling like an upgrade after having spent all that time in the 996. the whole heritage thing is a blessing and a curse. unless you're fully drinking the 911 koolaid, your eye wanders. mine sure do with both cars and women.

Not you silly, Phil! Remember, he's shown that he's older than you and admits that he drools.

You OBVIOUSLY are in the low LA rent clubs if girls are awed by a M6....lol....All the clubs I see nowadays have Murci's and Phantoms in front....M6? FYI, I am married, but must fight VERY hard to keep hotties out of my 996....besides, when I was single, (and had my Range Rover by the way) I wanted a girl to drive her own car so I wouldnt have to shuttle them around like I was a taxi...I like the 2 seaters....my rear seats are always folded down. Find a good one...one with her OWN sports car and money...as far as cars go....buy what YOU like....or 2 cars....I have the Carrera and Range Rover.

Looking at your sig, you have showed incredible restraint thus far in your car purchases. Congrats on being able to make that kind of leap.

If you want my opinion, the M6 is gorgeous. A great looking ride with a lot or potential for mods.

Ahhh, the problems of a single guy. I have kid #2 on the way and am having a similar yet VERY different problem trying to figure out what to get for the next DD.

Good luck

It's another overly heavy Bangalized design from BMW.

FWIW, as a single guy you should be aware that any girl you pick up that is too big for the back of the 911 is too big to date (IMHO).

i'd be curious to see pics of your wives or gfs to see exactly what you 911 car nerds are pulling down these days esp given the level of superficial snobbery i'm seeing in this thread. lol

the m6 is a mega fast gt coupe and guess what? it's not like the guy in the "bangalized" ugly heavy M car couldn't buy the dated, RMS riddled, plasticky 996 in the first place w/ mucho change left over.

By 996, yeah. In L.A. yeah. Unlike you and your friends who own Porsches and Ferraris, there are many out there who drive very average cars. Girls I know, and even brainy & street-smart guys around me believe it or not, don't know the difference between 996 and 997. Especially when seen from the side when valets pull up. To most people, 911 is a 911. 993 looks a little different from 996 & 997, but only enthusiasts can really pinpoint the headlamp changes. Some of these guys I know who are into SUV's and hayabusas & ducatis don't really follow on $90,000+ (w options) Porsche 911s and how they evolve. They can't afford Porsche 911s. To them, it's like why spend researching on cars they can't afford. Although, as for me, even if Vanquishs are a little out of my budget at this point, I follow on most exotic supercars closely. But many are not like us in the forum.

ha ha my eyes do wander most definitely. both cars and girls. I may keep the 996 and get the M6. Cheers.

Dude, insulting people in here doesn't make you any superior. If this thread bothers you, walk away instead of wasting your time posting. Unless you have an emergency technical question or unless you're a car nerd yourself as you described, why are you posting in here on a weekend? If I were you, I would be out trying to hook up with girls and have a good time instead of being in here labeling people. I 'd be curious about the pics of your gfs, since you brought up pics. Btw, what do you drive?

Sounds like you already have a double date.
