Problem or Not - A/C blows warm(er) on WOT

I haven't ever paid attention to this, but recently I noticed that my A/C blows a little warmer on full throttle. I used to have a truck with a 4-cylinder engine that did the same thing. It takes a second or two after letting off the throttle to get back to blowing cold.
I assume that the compressor isn't compressing right during the WOT, but didn't know if was "supposed" to operate this way.
-td <- tried to search but A/C and AC arent allowed...

I haven't checked this on my car, but I think you would want it that way. During WOT, you would want all engine power to be transmitted to the drivetrain, and avoid the parasitic loss associated with the A/C compressor, which will take a certain amount of horsepower to run. You're not going to be at WOT for a long time, unless you are on the track, and in that case, you've already turned the A/C off.

Apparently it's quite common for modern cars to automatically cut off the AC compressor when the engine is under max load. Don't know if this applies to the our P-cars but it makes sense.

This is done for performance reasons. Some newer cars actually have a generator driven by the engine instead of power steering pumps, AC compressors and water pumps. This generator will cut out on WOT, thus saving quite a few more HP than traditional belt-drive components. Of course, this places an extra burden on the battery, but batteries are not that expensive.
