Wow, 10-yr-old thread. I have pretty high oil pressure on my car. Never drops below 1.5 bars, and usually hovers around 2 bar at idle (675 RPMs). I'm pegged at 5 at 2500 RPM and up. 0w-40 oil

When weather and car are warm and AC is off, oil pressure occasionally drops to bring the warning light on at idle after getting off the highway . With AC on, never a problem and it stays in that 7-800 range.

If some people get 2.5 bar at idle and others only getting 1 bar, is there some sort of culprit to this problem ?? Worn bearings worn lifters ageing chain tensioners , anyone got any ideas from a certain trend, I know there's the relief spring in the oil pump but I've done that on mine , engine rebuilt with new bearings , new oil pump but didn't replace the lifters and I get 1 bar without air con on hot idle and 1.25 with air con on, been doing some work and found some sealant in the oil pick up recently, wasn't loads but two reasonable size pieces, haven't run the engine again yet as I'm doing work on the clutch and flywheel so hoping for better pressure after!!
