so are FACTORY cup holders in sports car....

you don't need to tell other's what you are driving. Its fairly obvious.
The badge is merely a nod to the lineage. Otherwise the factory wouldn't have bothered to place anything there at all.

You said that a car without badges looks like it has been repainted and they failed to put the badges back on. I pointed out to you that, while this might be the case for a mass produced car that does not offer factory debadging, that line of reasoning makes no sense when Porsche offers factory debadging. It is just like any other option.

so, cup holders are irrelevant. In fact, they are not even an option . . . they are standard. So, I guess, if you took the cup holders out you could make some argument that it looks like your interior was wrecked and you didn't fix it right since deleting cupholders was not an option from the factory.

I never said the car looked like it had been repainted without replacing the badges...that was another thread contributor.

at the end of the day it is indeed a matter of personal taste. Nobody's paying for your pcar but you!

p.s.
Personally I wish they would have just stuck with the serial number designations instead of coming up with names like Paprika, Crocodile, Pandora, etc.

I agree with you about the last statement, but when you bring up cupholders . . . that just doesn't make any sense in the context of why I raised the fact that factory debadging is a factory option.

This thread is so dumb... all this ranting made me go out and take the badge off the back of the car already.

Paul, can you post a pic of your badge on the car, red is a good comparison for me.

Total nonsense.

Hmmm...it's been mentioned before about painting the badge to the same colour of the car, now I see how that looks. Thanks for sharing.

No way, this thread is still active? It's on it's way to beat the "Disregard Thread". At least it has the same value of information.

However, I can contribute three stages of my silly batching:
Black (original)
Nacked (so I had to put the hardtop on)
Silver (final destination)

Yep it's still alive and I was thinking the same thing about it catching up with the "Disregard Thread".

BTW...thanks for your input

Anyone tried putting a badge off-center...like bottom right of the trunk?

It looks cool being pictured in my head...
