Congrats Mark! Finally met your goal, huh!? Good Job!
The best I got out of my heavier C4S, with a friend and a stopwatch, was 5.0s
I did several tries, they were hovering around 5.0 - 5.2. My car's bone-stock.
I blamed my friend's fat *** for not making under 5s.
Not with a Tiptronic or Auto. They tend to be the best at bracket racing.
As a drag racer I can say my car runs consistently within thousandths of second (at the drag strip), that is why autos are the choice for drag racing, so yes, the 0-60 times should be repeatable and accurate.
Mark, I am little concerned about the 2000 RPM you are gettting the converter to stall, mine will flash at about 1200-1300 RPM and then push the front tires.
How many miles are on your car? Converters "die" or stall higher over time but my car has 92k miles and it still stalls about the same as 55k miles.

Sorry, but 0 - 60 times are not consistant even at the drag strip. You want to do a quarter mile, you will have more consistancy, but not the short run. And running within 1000's/sec in a quarter mile is extremely rare with any car . If you get it that close consistantly, you are the only one who does.
Scott, If you do headers and the plenum...we should be about dead even. I highly recommend both. It's nice to hear from you again. I wish we were closer. Your dad would like this one too. The difference from 5,000 to 7,000 rpms is amazing. Mine appears to shift at a higher rpm in the auto mode.
Chuck, good luck with your install. I hope to hear your results in about an hour.
CosmosC4S, those are amazing times for stock....bigger is better (3.4 vs 3.6)...let the mods begin. Thanks.
Tippy, it starts pulling before 2,000...your numbers might be closer. Thanks for the drag racing info.
Jeeva, thanks.
So 1/8th mile tracks are inconsistant? What about 60ft times, which can almost predict what a person is going to run in a 1/8 and 1/4 mile run, especially when a person knows already knows their best and worst ET's are?

Bracket Racing! That's what it's all about, consistantly being at or within 1 to 2 tenths of your dial in ET. LOL!

Mark, I'm impressed! Good job! Thanks for posting your result!
I've the same subjective experience with the Plenum (6-speed here). It's a simple but effective mod! There will always be sceptical voices around - who cares!

That's funny. I blame my own fat *** for making my car slower even WITH the plenum!
