New TT for me finally
Well after 3 PPI on three different cars 2002 and 2001's I finally got one and got home today.
2001 TT
29000 Miles
Seal Grey
Grey interior
Interesting Drive from the MidWest to Vermont but went well
Made offers on three cars but this was the best one hopefully patience will of paid off.
Same year and color as the C4 I sold last month so no one in the neighborhood will be the wiser!
Already ordered:
-New tires
-Shortshifter
-Alum pedals...
Getting the clear bra on tomorrow and it will hibernate for a while.
Still Shopping for Alumin Shifter/Parking Break Lever.
Pictures are after going at the carwash this evenning so it was still wet.

you just bought a TT and will let it hibernate??? wow, that's some pretty hardcore discipline and delayed gratification. looks great! would love to hear your impressions of the TT coming from a C4.

You picked that up from Luxury Motors in O'Hare Correct? I have bought 6 cars from them over the last 3 years they have been fairly good to work with. They just got an 04 Black GT3 but i am sure that will be gone before I get back.So i won't even be able to look at it. Congrats great looking car!!!

Handling is similar feels the same weight and under 3500 rpm the cars could be twins...
Over 3500 rpm the TT is a freaking animal I get the feeling the rear wheels are trying to catch the front ones!!! With all that power it is very responsive where the C4 had some punch the TT is more like being shot out of a cannon.
The TT has to be respected in the upper tear of the rev band cause on anything but perfect pavement (if there is sand or it is wet) the TT will break loose with all the power being thrown to the asphalt, in this regard the C4 was more forgivable and not as fast to get you in trouble. I can tell if your not attentive the TT can smack you in trouble in a hurry if you don't give it your full attention when used in anger. To it's credit the TT is extremely civilized and handleable when used easily and shifting under 3500-4000 rpm.
I'm surprised some lawyers have not Class Actioned Porsche into putting a Warning sticker on the tach above 4k RPM for the benefit of civilized society (yahh right) as the always do!!!
Hope this helps. Thank you for asking.
G.L.
