brand of fuel you use

Fuel is fuel. If you check who distributes fuel to the many gas stations, you will find that it is the same supplier or short list of suppliers (regional distributors). There are, after all only 5 refineries in the US and they supply fuel to all brands. The real difference is one refinery uses alcohol to boost octane. I try to go with non-ethanol octane additives - however in a pinch, I'll use ethanol. The key is to go to a gas station that turns its gas inventory over more frequently than not, to avoid stale gas.

If top-tier gas is a necessity than check out this list of retailers that currently supply it.

OK, I'll take my lumps. I buy the freshest gas in town... COSTCO 93!
Go ahead and pile on if you must, but I have tested the gas in my other cars (93 octane). No change in mileage or performance that I have noticed.
