Agree about value....no question...I have a 95 993 and 996....even though it's light and mom le and fun on windy roads, it feels anemic to me especially when one compares it's cost. 996 is best value...spent this morning on a drive inn my son's C4S with another car that was the same....it's just so much fun....handles great with decent power and just plain fun

I was thinking about this post last night so I went back and looked at some of my books about the 993. Not as beautiful as I remember IMO. Looks a bit soft. Call me weird but the mid year 911's (SC and Carrera's) I think were the highlight for a beautiful, aggressive shape. Not the mid 70 cars but the SC and the 76 Carrera 3.0's forward through the 964. I would love to get a mid year turbo body.

I guess the fun thing is there is no right answer. We all like what we like so. The only answer is drive both and go from there.
