New suspension C4S
Fadz out there wants to upgrade his suspension on his 2002 C4S and he has two options, Hamman's Bach upgrade and Dealership's Gembella upgrade..
Anyone know which is better fit?
Does a suspension upgrade affect warranty any way?!

None of the above.
I assume the car already has the ROW C4S suspension, which is good for 95% of the street/track/DE applications IMO, so the next upgrade would be a coil-over setup with adjustable sway bars. Does the C4S see a lot of track time? Or is this for looks alone? If the driver is ready for suspension upgrade the best setup available for a street/track car is the Bilstein PSS9 9 way adjustable coilover, or the H&R coilover (Gemballa reboxes the H&R and resells them) is excellent as well though not adjustable. Combine either with a set of adjustable GT3 sway bars and you're set!

He's very happy with his C4S suspension, never tracks his car (at least never did before but i am working on convincing him!) and he just wants it for the lowered looks..

Anyone out there try out the X73 suspension? Either as a factory option or as an aftermarket retrofit? I'd be very interested in the actual look if not actual performance opinions, and how it might compare to non-Porsche suspensions. I'd be interested even in just the predictions or assumptions from the knowledgeable.

If it's just a lowered look that you are after, you may want to try the "Turbo Look" Euro M030 suspension setup from Carnewal.com. I am expecting delivery in a few days, and expecting car delivery in a few weeks. This setup will lower the car 20mm in the front and 10mm in the rear. It includes shocks and springs and for 1395 Euro I felt was the best deal to get the look I'm after.
If anyone has any experience with this kit, I'd love to hear your opinions. I'll be posting my thoughts on it as soon as I get my car.

Fadz,
I think for pure asthetics I would try a simple spring change to an H&R sport spring, if you want better handling in a OEM package that X73 option may be worth exploring. It depends on your starting point, I assume Dubai uses RoW specs, if not maybe start with a Row conversion.
I hope I didn't offend anyone, I was trying to be helpful and to the point.
Cheers

Robert,
That's the suspension Fadz has on his car as he bought his C4S overseas. The Euro M030 may not lower your car much. It lowered mine about 10mm in the front, less in the rear.

Kerry,
That's about all I'm looking to do. I want something subtle, since I'm pretty much using this as a daily driver. Did you experience a much harsher ride with this setup? I'm also looking at a set of 19" HRE's so with the slight increase in wheel diameter I didn't want to face the possibility of rubbing.

I have a 2003 C4S with 19" wheels and am planning to lower my car to "European specs". What would be my best choice, H&R Sport Springs, the X73 or, perhaps the MO3O? If I were to decide on either of the two later choices, where can they be found?
Thanks for any advice and help.

Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach sells and install suspension upgrades.I would start there.
True "euro specs" are probably achieved with the RoW conversion, which is slightly lower than US spec 996 cars.

Robert,
It is noticeably harsher compared to my stock suspension, but from what I've read I think the change from the USA M030 that you have to the Euro M030 is not as dramatic. The only data I have to go on is the report in Panorama from back in '00 that tested the stock and M030 suspensions in both Euro and USA configurations. But, of course, that doesn't say anything about the suspension that you have or the one you are buying. Perhaps someone on this forum has installed the Euro M030 on their C4S? If not, you get to be the 'scout'.

with respect--
DON'T LOWER YOUR C4S JUST FOR LOOKS! IT'S SILLY!
my c4s already scrapes the front spoiler at stock height! lowering it further would make the c4s a nuisance to drive every day. imho, keep it stock. peace
