Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket cell phone mount for a 2001 996 Cab? I don't have a cupholder since there is a Nav.
Anyone know anything about http://www.kudausa.com?

I just looked at one that the Auto Sound shop had and they're really pretty slick. As far as I know, they're the only product specifically made for the Porsche that doesn't look hokey. All it is is the mount for the electronic device of your choosing...cellphone, Ipod, gps etc. The base is hollow so if you need to stash wires etc inside you can do it. It also comes in the basic colors of Porsche...grey, black etc. and comes in leather with stitching for the up scale look. I'm going to get one.

I'm considering these guys ( www.proclipusa.com ). They have an accessory that you can attach to the mount that will hold 2 devices (e.g., cell phone and ipod). Not expensive either!

I have a Proclip and it works great. It can be installed and removed without tools. I don't have any of the accesories, use it with my Ipod with Velcro to hold it on.

What type of phone is it? I've had the Motorola pro install kits on all my Porsches, easy to upgrade, but the Becker interface is a real pain in the ****.

Do you think there's any appreciable difference between http://www.proclipusa.com and http://www.kudausa.com?

I've got the kuda. It looks nice, more like a custom installation. It's also an easy install. You slide the clip under the cd storage and just one screw holds the other end. The only drawback is that it moves around when you unclip the phone from the mount (assuming you use a button mount). The proclip looks a little cheap. It may slide around just like the kuda.

From their website the Kuda certainly looks nice, probably nicer than the Proclip I have. Unfortunately, it isn't available in Savannah Beige, which is my interior color. I can tell you that I have no problem with the Proclip moving once it is installed, and it doesn't take any screws to mount it so no holes have to be drilled.
