If you are looking for performance and TURBOS then go for the Porsche, the TT has better acceleration and much more power, it has very good handling. If you want just looks looks and more looks, go for the 360, The TT is gorgeous, but the 911 body style is quite common and everyone knows what it looks like, the 360 on the other hand is a new style. PLus the 360 has better handling due to it's mid engine setup. It's up to you. In this case, I would go for the Ferrari.

The "value" on the 360 assumes you buy one new at list. 140 K for the coupe 160 K for the spyder. Around here they stopped even taking deposits 2 years ago.Perry

I feel sorry for your mom. She should spend more money on your education.

Wow, please go back and read all of your replies. Perhaps you were under the underfluence of hallucinogens while posting?

FWIW, I was schooled at Harvard University with a dual major in political science and economics.

Please refrain from making any comments about my mother, it is both childish and disrespectful.

It is obvious that you are sub-normal and have a few issues to work out. Do not take your anger out on me.

Is it possible that topdaytrader isn't who he says? Pete tends to point out his inconsistencies best. His post about commuting in a tt is ridiculous, and suggests he hasn't tried it. My commute is 60 miles a day, on our snow-ravaged, truck-ravaged northwest Indiana roads, and I think my ttx50 is perfectly comfortable. In fact, it's softer than my 90, 94, and 96 Toyota Landcruisers, 80, 90, and 91 Porsches (all previous), and is at least the equal of my BMW 850CSI. I'm guessing the poster-in-question is not an owner. Welcome to the internet. I guess this board is not immune. AS

Hello Turbo people.

Why couldn't you just spend 4k on a lift and do all the ferarri work yourself?

Aren't there great places for good prices on Ferarri parts? A timing belt change probably requires engine dropping (not unusual if you deal with 911s, right?).

A belt, a few tensioner pieces, and some know-how.

NOT 9k.

Just remember that there are people out there that think the upkeep on a Porsche is just to expensive to own one

Isn't it a great time to be a car nut!!Look at all the wonderful machinery that is now available. We are in the "platinum" age of sports cars; in every price range too
I have a 360 spider on order ( 2 years thus far ) and bought my 996 tt x50 as a "stop gap" car. It has turned out to be one of the best cars I have had. Amazing power , exclusivity ( at least in the part of Canada I live in) and a certain degree of stealth!
I originally had no intention of keeping the tt ,but I must say that it is phenomanal; and is a great daily rocket ride! When my 360 comes in I just may have to explore the boundaries of my bugetary constraints.

<img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> CHEERS ALL TTVX50

PS I got caught in the snow recently and the car performed well. no snows either
